Questions
Do I need an API key?
Not if you use local models through Ollama or LM Studio. For cloud models you use your own key from the provider you choose and pay them directly. EZ AI Dev adds no usage fee.
Where does my code go?
With local models it stays on your PC. With a cloud model, the parts of your code the AI reads are sent to the provider you selected, under that provider's terms. Nothing is sent to us. See the privacy page.
Is there a subscription?
No. You pay once for a licence key. It includes a year of updates, and the version you have keeps working after that.
How does the licence key work?
You paste the key into the app once. It activates up to 2 PCs. After that the app works offline and checks in with the licence server about once a month.
Can the agents break my site?
They edit files in the folder on your PC, not on your server. Nothing is uploaded until you open the upload list and pick the files. Keep a backup or use version control all the same, as with any tool that edits code.
Which Windows versions are supported?
Windows 10 and Windows 11. There is no Mac or Linux version.
